A few favourites from my session with beautiful Kylie and her vibrant children. Kylie has bounced back from breast cancer, radiation therapy, chemotherapy and a mastectomy. In her words, “I’ve had the works”.
What I love about Kylie is her positive attitude. Throughout her illness, she choose to focus her energy on the things that mattered most to her. Her family. You can see the delight she has in her children in the following images.

Amy Steed - Beautiful work Melissa! Do you use photoshop actions for your editing, or is this just done on your own? The coloring is fantastic.

Yes. I do all my own editing. I have made a couple of my own action/pre-sets that suit the way I shoot.
But then EVERY photo is still individually looked at. I find mostly if white balance and exposure are right, that colours fall into place.
Vicki Waters - So glad you did this amazing photo shoot with Kylie. She so deserves it. She is such a strong lady and a definate inspiration to us all. I’ve known Kylie since she was about 2. When we got the news that she was cancer free it was one of the best days of my life!!! My husband and I were speechless! !!! Thank you again for giving her these amazing photos!!!
