Helen and Thane | Engagement photography Gold Coast

It is the nicest thing, very uplifting infact, to be around two people newly in love.  It was my privilege to take some photos to celebrate Helen and Thane’s engagement.

Helen is an inspirational mother of 6.  She has recently co-authored the book “No ordinary YOU – 14 principles to live and Extraordinary life”.   see noordinaryyou.com

Thane has been a single father since his son (now in his teens) was very small.

When Thane found himself a single dad all those years ago, he asked Helen (then married to someone else) to help him look after his son for a time, because he admired the way she was raising her own children.

Fast forward to early 2012.  They meet again.  Helen is now single and the two of them become a couple. This contact with him in earlier days has turned out to be a great blessing to Helen and her family.  Her older children, now in their 20’s, remember Thane and say that he is the best Man they know.

Their story is a very romantic one.  Here is another small insight…. Helen asked Thane which of these photos he liked the best.  Thane carefully went through each of the 32 photos I gave to them and wrote down something he loves about Helen in each one!  When I talked to him he was very hard on himself (with how he looks in the photos) but said he loves that Helen is there with him in each image.  Personally I love the emotion, the Joy of being together that I see when I look at these pictures.  Be sure to leave a comment to say which is your favourite photo of this lovely couple.

Thank you Helen and Thane for allowing me to share a small part of your story

Sharlene Pearce - These are all lovely, I especially like the close up of the two of them holding each other (the one after the bridge).Helen’s eyes are highlighted by Thane’s shirt. I think the one of them on the road is symbolic of them beginning a new journey. I cried when I looked at these pics, as I love Helen and am so pleased for her… Nice work.ReplyCancel

Aileen Hurlstone Wright - Im so happy for Helen. Ive always admired how spritely she is even though shes been through her hardships. She always has a smile. Ive seen her in the last couple walk into church with Thane with an even bigger smile on her face. I didnt know that was possible for someone that smiles so much already! Congrats to them both.ReplyCancel
